American minus odds (-400) mean you need to stake ৳1,000 to win ৳250 profit. A cricket match example: Team A at 1.65, Team B at 2.30 — if you place ৳500 on Team B and Team B wins, total return is ৳1,150 (profit ৳650); if Team A wins, you lose the full ৳500.
The Bet Slip — Understanding Single and Multi Bets
